Welcome to my site . The point of this site is to share in my journey past and present showing the joy and problems that parents of children with Autism and indeed the children who have Autism face everyday of their life. I will of course start a blog and hopefully other parents and people who have Autism can make their thoughts known too. As you will probably know if you are a parent of children with Autism that we all have so much to say but not many people to say it to. Well we can change that by saying it here and now. I will link to the major Autism sites and smaller ones too. There can never be too much information for a parent with a child who has Autism. The world needs educating on Autism awareness. .I will say one thing that a friend once told me that god only gives special children to special people. I hope you agree when i say Autism touches our lives in ways other parents could never imagine. I hope you will share your experiences and any knowledge you have with us all here . Lets make this a place to come to share our issues about the way Autism effects our children. Also perhaps your an older person who also has Autism , your views on how you see others and how your Autism and needs are catered for. As many parents know one fear we all seem to have next to education is the transition into adult hood .Also as my son suffers from ADHD any one with any other disability that runs along side the Autism Spectrum Disorders are very welcome to join us. As education seems to be a major worry for us all i will try to put up as much advice on this subject as i can find. Only by Autism awareness can we make our children be understood . Another major issue is schools that think our children are naughty ,on this subject i will try and show the ins and outs of what the law says our children need and how new disability laws say they should be treated. On that note i hope this introduction explains what this site is all about.
